Chair David Barrow and Chief Armand P. La Barge will make a presentation to Mr. David Jeanneret for his leadership and commitment to the York Region Police Community Advisory Council since 1991.

Chair David Barrow and Chief Armand P. La Barge will also make a presentation to Police Constable Anthony Emanuel for administering emergency first aid at the scene of a motor vehicle collision on October 1, 2005. Constable Emanuel's immediate response is credited with saving the victim's life.

9. Budget Statement (Un-audited) for the Year Ending December 31, 2005

RECOMMENDATIONS

  1. That the Board receive the un-audited Budget Statement for the year ending December 31, 2005, in accordance with Police Services Board By-Law #04-01; and

  2. That the Manager of Financial Services provide a final Budget Statement for the year ending December 31, 2005 upon completion of the Region of York external audit.

10. Safer Communities - 1,000 Officers Policing Partnerships Grant

RECOMMENDATIONS

  1. That the Board authorize the Chair to execute the agreement between the Board, Her Majesty the Queen in the Right of the Province of Ontario (the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services), The Regional Municipality of York, relating to the Safer Communities - 1,000 Officers Policing Partnerships (SC-TOPP) Grant; and

  2. That the Board refer this report and its endorsement of the SC-TOPP agreement to Regional Council recommending that Regional Council authorize the execution of this agreement.

That the Board reimburse members for the costs associated with approved courses identified in the attached Appendix - Recommended Course Approvals, subject to proof of successful completion, as required in either the Senior Officers' or Uniform or Civilian Working Agreements and the Board's Course Reimbursement Policy.

15. Vehicle Service - 4 District



RECOMMENDATION

  1. That the Board award Proposal P05-06 - Vehicle Service for #4 District fleet to York Auto for a period of two years with the option to extend for one additional year.
