4. Chair David Barrow will pay tribute to Chief of Police Armand La Barge who received The Order Of Merit of the Police Forces from the Governor General on May 19, 2006 in Ottawa.

PRESENTATIONS
5. Mr. Fred Defina, Race Director, 2006 Bob Hartwell Runner's Challenge will make a presentation to Chief of Police Armand La Barge in appreciation for the support and assistance of the York Regional Police in making the 5th Annual Hartwell Challenge a success.



6. Constable Kim Majlik and Detective Constable Ron Axmit will join Chief of Police Armand La Barge for a presentation on Protecting our Seniors.

COMMUNICATIONS
7. Staff Sgt. Rodney B. Sine (May 18, 2006) advising of Sponsorship Opportunities in support of the First Annual Community Safety Village Golf Tournament on June 30th, 2006, at the Angus Glen Golf Club.

8. Budget Statement for the Period Ending April 30, 2006

RECOMMENDATION
  1. That the Board receive the Budget Statement for the four-month period ending April 30, 2006, in accordance with Police Services Board By-Law #04-01.

RECOMMENDATIONS
  1. That the Executive Director communicate to the Commissioner of Finance the Board's anticipated budget approval date of September 27, 2006.

10. Corporate Donation - Volkswagen Canada Inc.

RECOMMENDATION
  1. That the Board approve the donation of a 2000 Volkswagen New Beetle from Volkswagen Canada Inc. in accordance with the Board's Public Donations Policy.
