4. YORK REGIONAL POLICE MISSION TO KINGSTON, JAMAICA

Chief Armand P. La Barge will speak about the recent York Regional Police mission to Kingston, Jamaica to continue the important humanitarian work of Constable Davis Ahlowalia, who was tragically killed in a car accident on January 6, 2007.

 PRESENTATIONS

  1. The Easter Seal Society will make a presentation to Chief Armand P. La Barge for the contribution of the York Regional Police to the Run/Walkathon founded by Mr. Joe Persechini in 1975.

  2. Chief Armand P. La Barge and the York Regional Police team will make a presentation on Civilian Oversight.

9. Annual Property and Evidence Audit

RECOMMENDATION
  1. That the Board receive this report for information in accordance with the Collection, Preservation and Control of Evidence and Property guidelines contained within the Policing Standards Manual (2000), the Collection, Preservation and Control of Evidence and Property Board Policy 02/00-22 and the Collection, Preservation and Control of Evidence, York Regional Police Procedure LE-020.

10. Award of Mobile Workstation Evergreen 2007 Request for Proposal Addendum Report

RECOMMENDATIONS
  1. That the Board approve the award for the supply of the Mobile Workstation Evergreen 2007 Request for Proposal P07-04 to Panasonic Canada Inc., at a cost not to exceed $784,000 excluding applicable taxes; and

  2. That the Board approve the extension of the existing 36 month lease of 50 Mobile Workstations with Relational Funding Inc. for 2 months at a cost of $15,223.00 exclusive of taxes.
