RECOMMENDATION

1.          That the Board receive the Financial Statements for the ten-

             month period ending October 31, 2008, pursuant to

             Police Services Board Policy No. 01/05.

Employment Opportunities for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities

RECOMMENDATIONS

1.          That the Board approve the establishment of a program to

            provide employment opportunities for persons with intellectual

            disabilities; and

2.          That the Board delegate authority to the Chief of Police, or his               designate, to take the necessary measures to fully implement

              the program, including executing employment agreements as

              well as a Letter of Understanding with the York Regional Police

              Association, subject to the approval of the Region’s Legal

              Services as to form and content.

Sole Source Acquisition of i2 Intelligence Analysis Database System

RECOMMENDATIONS

1.                  That the Board authorize the acquisition of an i2 client/server based Intelligence Analysis application as a sole source purchase pursuant to the available Provincial Guns & Gangs grant funding at a value not to exceed $124,934, inclusive of PST; and

2.         That the Chief be authorized to execute the contract with i2              Incorporated, subject to approval of the Region’s Legal Services

             as to form and content.

RECOMMENDATIONS

1.                  The Board develop an action plan to comply with the Accessibility

            Standard for Customer Service (O. Reg 429/07);

2.         This Report be forwarded to the York Region Accessibility 

            Advisory Committee for their information.
