OFFICIAL BOARD CREST
The York Regional Police Services Board Crest is an adaptation of the Regional Crest that was originally adopted on February 14, 1850, at the first session of Council of the County of York.

It is divided into four sections that are representative of the stages of development of the area:
- The CROWN signifies Her Majesty's Government.
- The DEER STRICKEN WITH AN ARROW represents the original state of the country.
- The SHEAF OF WHEAT represents the first progress in agriculture.
- The TREE WITH AN AXE represents the first act of improvement.
- The STEAM BOAT represents the high state of technological advancement at the time.
