  2. That the Board renew the reward of $100,000 pursuant to Board Policy No. 03/00 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the murders of  Zhu LIN, Yan LIU and Xiao ZHAN on February 8, 2004, in the Town of Markham.

  1. That the Board receive the Financial Statements for the twelve month period ending December 31, 2008, pursuant to Police Services Board Policy No. 01/05.
  
     
12. Police Officers Recruitment Fund 41

  1. That the Board approve the Police Officers Recruitment Fund program from the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services; and

  2. That the Chairman be authorized to execute the agreement in accordance with Recommendation #1, subject to prior review by York Region Legal Services; and

  3. That the Board forward the agreement to the Regional Municipality of York requesting a resolution of Council authorizing the Region of York to enter into this agreement with the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services.

16. Renewal of Lease 57

That the Board authorize a renewal of the lease between the Board and Newmarket Property Corporation for Unit 300 at the Yonge Mulock Centre situated at 16775 Yonge Street,  Newmarket  consisting of 1048.30 square feet of office space for a  period of 2 years effective  April 1, 2009 and terminating March 31,  2011; and

  2. That the Chief be authorized to execute the lease renewal agreement  with Newmarket Property Corporation subject to approval of the Region's Legal Services as to form and content; and

  3. That pending approval of the above recommendations, the Board provide notice of the lease to the Region’s Treasurer for reporting purposes under the Region’s Financing and Debt Policy.
