Renewal of York Regional Police/RCMP License of Occupation Agreement

RECOMMENDATIONS

 
     
 

1.                  That the Board renew the License of Occupation Agreement with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police retroactive from September 1, 2008, to August 31, 2013, for their radio system repeater equipment on the Georgina Communication Tower under the conditions of the Boards interim policy regarding Installations on Communications Tower; and  

2.        That the Chief of Police be authorized to execute a renewal of the License of Occupation Agreement, subject to approval of the Region’s Legal Services.

Purchase of Mobile and Portable Radios

RECOMMENDATION

 
     
 

1.         That the Board authorize the purchase of up to 80 Motorola XTL 2500 mobile radios, and up to 80 Motorola Astro Digital XTS 2500 portable radios, along with ancillary equipment, from Motorola Canada Inc. as a sole source purchase at a cost not to exceed $460,873.60, including applicable taxes.
