Appointments to the York Regional Police Services Board
At its meeting on December 13, 2018, Regional Council re-appointed three members of Regional Council to the Police Services Board for the 2018-2022 term: Regional Chairman and CEO Wayne Emmerson, Mayor Virginia Hackson of the Town of East Gwillimbury and Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua of the City of Vaughan. The Regional Municipality of York Police Services Board is a seven-member civilian Board that oversees and governs the York Regional Police and is comprised of one member as Head of Municipal Council, three members are appointed by resolution of Regional Council and three by the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario.
