The York Regional Police Services Board is committed to providing accessible services to the residents of York Region. The Board provides annual updates to the Region on the actions taken to improve accessibility in accordance with the legislative requirements.
The Board has created accessibility policies that meet the legal requirements of the Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2001 (ODA) and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) and ensure people with disabilities can access the same services.
To improve our service, the Board will collect and respond to feedback on how it provides services to people with disabilities. Feedback from the public can be submitted in writing, by telephone, in person, in electronic format or through other methods that support you.
The York Region 2015 to 2021 Multi-Year Accessibility Plan includes all actions to date by the Region, the Police Services Board and York Regional Police and outlines the work that has to be done in York Region to ensure all barriers are removed. The plan also details our strategy for meeting the requirements of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA).
The Police Services Board strives to make its programs and services more inclusive and more accessible to everyone.
