The Regional Municipality of York Police Services Board consists of seven civilian members as follows:

Members of Council appointed by resolution of Council
Members appointed by the Lieutenant Governor in Council
Individual who is appointed by resolution of Council who is neither a member of Council nor an employee of the municipality
VIRGINIA HACKSON, CHAIR, MAYOR OF THE TOWN OF EAST GWILLIMBURY
Mayor Virginia Hackson was re-elected as Chair of the Regional Municipality of York Police Services Board in January 2019. Mayor Hackson has served on the Board since 2012 and as Chair since 2017. She is committed to strong and safe communities and open and transparent police governance
JOHN MOLYNEAUX, VICE CHAIR, Regional Council Appointee
Mr. Molyneaux was re-elected as Vice Chair of the York Regional Police Services Board on January 30, 2019. The Lieutenant Governor of Ontario appointed Mr. Molyneaux to the York Regional Police Services Board for a three-year term on November 3, 2010.
WAYNE EMMERSON, REGIONAL CHAIRMAN & C.E.O.
Chairman Emmerson is a fifth generation resident of The Regional Municipality of York and has a breadth of knowledge and political experience in the Region and in all levels of government.
MAURIZIO BEVILACQUA, MAYOR OF THE CITY OF VAUGHAN
The Hon. Maurizio Bevilacqua is currently serving his second term as Mayor of the City of Vaughan. Prior to becoming Mayor, he was a Member of Parliament for 22 years and served in several roles.
ROBIN DOOBAY, Provincial Appointee
Mr. Doobay was appointed by the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario for a two-year term commencing on March 7, 2018. Board member Doobay is originally from Guyana and moved to Canada in 1975. He received a computer science degree from the University of Waterloo and has a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wales (UK).
JOSH COOPER, Provincial Appointee
Mr. Josh Cooper was appointed by the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario for a three year term commencing January 17, 2019. Board member Cooper was born in Toronto. He has lived with his family in York Region for over 25 years. He is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Baycrest Foundation.
