Board Members
The Regional Municipality of York Police Services Board consists of seven civilian members as follows:

VIRGINIA HACKSON, CHAIR, MAYOR OF THE TOWN OF EAST GWILLIMBURY
Mayor Virginia Hackson was re-elected as Chair of the Regional Municipality of York Police Services Board in January 2021. Mayor Hackson has served on the Board since 2012 and as Chair since 2017.
MAURIZIO BEVILACQUA, VICE CHAIR, MAYOR OF THE CITY OF VAUGHAN
Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua was elected as Vice Chair of the Regional Municipality of York Police Services Board in January 2021. Mayor Bevilacqua has served on the Board since 2017. This is his first term as Vice Chair.
WAYNE EMMERSON, REGIONAL CHAIRMAN & C.E.O.
Chairman Emmerson is a fifth generation resident of The Regional Municipality of York and has a breadth of knowledge and political experience in the Region and in all levels of government.
JOSH COOPER, Provincial Appointee
Mr. Josh Cooper was appointed by the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario for a three year term commencing January 17, 2019. Board member Cooper was born in Toronto. He has lived with his family in York Region for over 25 years. He is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Baycrest Foundation.
JENNIFER FANG, Provincial Appointee
Jennifer has 25 years of international banking, cross-border investment and business management experience with multi-national-corporations in New York and Toronto, including General Motors of Canada, JP Morgan & Chase, BMO and PwC Canada. Jennifer is a Director and Chair of Audit Committee of a TSX-listed mining company.
WALTER J. PERCHAL, Provincial Appointee
Mr. Perchal was appointed by the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario for a three-year term commencing March 7, 2020. Walter Perchal served as a Senior Officer in the Canadian Forces for many years. During the course of his service, he completed a broad range of duties.
NORMA MCCULLOUGH, Regional Appointee
Norma McCullough was appointed to the York Regional Police Services Board by The Regional Municipality of York for two years, commencing January 1st, 2021.
