Construction Update on Police Training Facility

The construction of the York Regional Police training facility is well underway with a completion date set for April 20, 2017. The facility will include an 18-lane firing range at 50 meters – which can be expanded in the future, firing range support area and areas for defensive tactics, fitness training and dynamic scenario simulation training and will also include 10 classrooms and administrative areas. It will be a LEED silver building encompassing about 73,000 square feet.   The facility is located on Bales Road in the Town of East Gwillimbury.
