Bylaw No. 05-26

A Bylaw to govern the proceedings
Of the Board and its Committees.

WHEREAS Section 22(1) of the Community Safety and Policing Act (the "Act") provides that there will be a police service board for every municipality that maintains a police service.

WHEREAS subsection 46(1) of the Act provides that a police service board shall establish its own rules and procedures in performing its duties under this Act and the regulations

WHEREAS the York Regional Police Service Board is to ensure that those rules reflect the principles of accessibility, responsiveness and accountability to the community, fairness, respect and full debate in the conduct of its meetings and flexibility in responding to changing circumstances at meetings of the Board.
